Description

Chairlift serves as the main climbing trail that you'll find yourself using as a number of trails feed into this one. You may be somewhat disappointed to find out that there is no actual chairlift to shuttle you to the top. While the trail is not an easy ride up, it is not difficult from a technical standpoint with virtually no rocks or roots to be found on your ascent. The trail was built specifically with climbing in mind and switches between harder and easier grades throughout the length of the trail to give you breaks as you pedal up to 'Hub C'. Once at the end of the trail, you can ride back to the Trailhead parking lot via Breakfast Club, session some big berms and tabletops on Baby Flow, or test your skills on some flow-gnar* on Cumberland Braaps.

Like all the trails at Tannery Knobs, you'll see trail qualifiers within the first one hundred yards of each trail. Trail qualifiers give riders a glimpse of what to expect on the respective trail so they know what you are getting yourself into from the start.

*What's flow-gnar? It's one of the 50 words for trail that mountain bikers may use to describe the trail tread. It essentially means a trail or section of the trail that has gnarly root and/or rock sections that can be flowed by or over by picking certain lines to maintain or increase momentum.
