I've seen a lot of fatbikes and some gravel bikes on this road, probably a bit rough for any road bikes.

Description

This is the main route from the base area to the upper village by Lift #4, and provides access to Northside via the Phoenix Switchback Road. From the Bull of the Woods/Wheeler Peak trailhead at the east side of the parking lot, look for Twining Road. There's a couple steep grades and a few switchbacks along the two-mile climb to the Williams Lake trailhead then the road ends by the Bavarian Lodge.
