Need to Know

This trail is multi-use and frequented by hikers and horses. Control your speed and respect other users. Watch for uphill traffic on the lower half of the trail.

Description

There are two sides to Jacob's Ladder. The first half up top is primitive, fall-line riding down the mountain. You'll encounter lots of exposed rock faces and loose surfaces to escort you on your way down. The views in both directions are amazing, but once you've started your downward descent, do not dare take your eyes off the trail. Hang on and enjoy the ride!

The bottom half of this trail leads into a canopy of scrub oak, where the trail becomes very tight singletrack. The trail surface in here is buff and fast with a few roots poking out to keep you on your toes. There are tight switchbacks making it difficult to sustain a high speed, but with the trees so tight, you'll feel like you're flying anyway.

Rush and Jacob's ladder! Some of the best trails in UT, it is definitely worth the climb to descend Jacob's ladder.

Very good. Better than rush and less people.

Jacobs Ladder lives up to black diamond rating. Steep exposed rock faces. Wished I had full squish and bigger brakes. Keeps you on your toes. 12mi — 2h 00m
