From the west, the singletrack starts with an abrupt climb. Behind you, there's an excellent view of the Tyrrhenian Sea, the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago, and possibly Corsica if it's a clear day.
At the top of the short but steep climb, the singletrack follows the fence line of a Zona Militar (military base) and then it twists through the forest paralleling the Monte Calamita Cima (Calamita Mountain Peak) forest road for a while before turning to the north and down.
Moderately steep. Uneven terrain with small rocks or roots.
Sizable rocks & roots. Steep sections.
Steep. Some technical terrain and limited alternate lines.
Very steep. Technical terrain with no alternate lines.
