Description

This trail can be accessed near the end of the technical section of the Fluorite Ridge: Outer Loop Trail. Ride along the doubletrack to the west until you reach a gate. Go through the gate and close it behind you.

A short ride will take you thorough the homestead ruins and the ruins of an old mine. One of the shafts is still open, but be sure not to disturb any of the ruins in order to preserve the history of this area and to ensure your safety.

After passing through the ruins, continue along the road in a generally northern direction until you reach its terminus on Butterfield Trail/A015. A blue sign with white letters labelled "Old Homestead" will mark the end of this ride.

Deep, vertical mineshaft. Be careful because the shaft is not covered or protected.
