Description

The rolling hills of San Jose, Nueva Ecija is not mentioned as a tourist destination in the Philippines but it is perhaps one of the best hidden tourism gems in Nueva Ecija. It is one of the most magnificent, awe-inspiring sceneries you'll ever see in the Philippines. If you need one more reason to call yourself a mountain biker, this is it. Mountain bikers don't just "see" it, they "experience" it - and there's no better way to experience it than with this wilderness trail.

This trail is one of your options for descending from the peak of Mt.Williams. There are short 20%+ descents, then some long 7%+ flowing trails, and, of course, it's not a rolling hill if there are no climbs. Sometimes the climbs are so tough, you have to hike the bike.

Since this is a tough trail, only a few dare to ride it. As a result, it could be unmaintained for most of the year. There are some sections where the grass could obstruct the trail, but the path is still obvious and you can pass through it without a problem.

There are also some sections of loose rock garden - be warned that some rocks are huge. Choose your lines carefully, or just walk it. Be on the safe side, because if you get injured, there are a lot of cellphone dead spots and it will be hard to call for help.

If you plan to ride this trail, it's best to contact the local MTB community (SJC-MTB) and get a guide.
