This trail is subject to a USFS seasonal closure from 10/10 - 6/20 to protect deer and elk during calving season

Description

North Fork Trail gets heavy moto use so you'll find sections that are rutted, trenched, or rocky. Overall, however, it rides very well on a mountain bike.

The trail starts one mile up Lone Pine Trail on the left. The first 3.25 miles of the trail roll nicely through the terrain with a series of short climbs and descents. The remainder of the trail gets steeper and pretty consistently heads upward. The trail ends at the upper intersection with the Lone Pine Trail.

You'll see two other intersections along the trail. Just after the two-mile point on the right is the Short Line Trail that connects to the midpoint of Lone Pine Trail. At the three-mile point on the left is the intersection with Milepost 1 Trail, another singletrack open to motos.
