Description

Use this trail as an extra credit bypass around downtown Aspen on larger rides of area trails. You'll find the trail to be more fun ridden east to west since you'll get a gradual climb through dark timber forest and ski slope meadows that leads to a flowing, rocky, and steeper descent with some tight turns as you drop down to the trail's finish at Koch Lumber Park and the Midland Trail.

Watch out for hikers on this short, close-to-town trail, given it's easy access.

The east end actually starts a short way up the steep and super rocky Ute Trail (hiking only), but it's best to access the trail by pedaling up a short stretch of a driveway. The signage is clear that this access is allowed.
