Overview

A basic desert singletrack trail that is mostly used for a good warm-up to the more challenging trails on the lakeside of the road. This is a great trail for beginners to help them get used to the loose sandy terrain.

Need to Know

Watch out for rattlesnakes if you are riding in the warmer Havasu weather.

Description

To access this loop, head out of the parking lot to the north and keep to the right. You'll be riding in a wash for the first 1/4 mile or so of the trail.

Once you come out of the wash, there will be a couple small inclines before one small descent. You'll be able to gather up a little speed at this point if you choose ,which will propel you up the small steady incline to the top of the hill.

This side of the loop is more hard packed and not nearly as sandy. Once you reach the crest of the hill, you can choose to go right and follow the new section of the trail onto Friends of the Fair (long loop) or stay to the left and prepare for a decent flowing downhill back to the parking lot.

Most people ride this trail counter-clockwise, but some will ride it clockwise. This trail is not difficult and is a great learners trail.
