Description

Red Reef Trail is best described in two parts: upper and lower.

The upper section (above the campground) is really fast, flowing, and relatively steep with four to five switchbacks. Upper Red Reef is made of soft dirt, about four to five feet wide with some portions that are overgrown.

The lower section (below the campground) is not very steep, but gets narrow with a bit of exposure in a couple of spots. Lower Red Reef is fairly rocky, about three feet wide, with two to three rock gardens to navigate through.

The trail ends at Sisar Canyon Fire Road, which you can take back down to the parking lot (or climb back up for another round).
