Description

Best ridden in the downhill, northerly, direction into Tennessee Valley. From the junction with the Miwok Trail - Bunker Rd to Wolf Ridge, the trail starts fairly level crossing several wood bridges with nice views over Tennessee Valley out to the Pacific Ocean. Dropping down from the ridge, it gets a little steeper with a few ruts and rocks. The lower section has been "improved" with a series of wood steps and stone drainage channels to reduce erosion. A couple switchbacks brings you to the bottom at the horse stables near the Tennessee Valley trailhead. Walk bikes through the stable area.

Keep a heads-up for hikers and horses especially on busy weekends.

One of the nicer stops on Old Springs; get your fog while you can as it is going away.
