Avoid when wet. You may wish to avoid the park during hunting season. Refer to ODNR hunting calendars for gun season dates (hunting is allowed in Strouds Run State Park).

Description

White Ash Trail connects Rockhouse Trail at the bottom of Crumley Ridge with Athens Trail at the top of the ridge.

If you can make the climb all the way up the various difficult sections (ruts, roots, step-ups, bare rock, piles of leaves and loose rocks), give yourself a pat on the back. And, when descending this trail, be sure to use caution as it offers a lot of opportunities to get yourself out of control. Locals enjoy calling this trail "Mean & Nasty."
