Description

Lion's Back Trail is a very short jaunt that starts at the intersection of Marmot Passage Trail and Bugling Elk Trail at Elk Falls Pond. It provides very easy access to the Elk Falls Overlook. Head right, along the shoreline, and ride up the gravel road for 1 mile until you reach the section of the trail that is hiking only. The very short hike from here allows you to see Elk Falls, and provides a great spot for lunch.

For those looking for a more scenic or challenging access to Elk Falls Overlook, consider riding West Meadow Trail and/or Chimney Rock Trail.
