Description

Start at the Los Alamos Aquatic Center trailhead and head northeast. The trail soon becomes a steep downhill with large rock and log steps and a couple of switchbacks. Riding this section is not recommended. Once you reach the Pueblo Canyon bench, cross a short bridge over a stream and the Acid Canyon Trail splits off to the left. The trail smooths out considerably for a couple hundred yards.

The Pueblo Canyon Bench Trail forks off to the right and the trail then begins to drop steeply again with two switchbacks. There are no more large steps so the trail is rideable from this point but the switchbacks have large exposed dropoffs, so be very careful. At the bottom of Pueblo Canyon there is a larger stream to cross which sometimes has a bridge that is frequently washed out. After crossing the stream, turn towards the right to find a brown carsonite trail marker for the East Fork Trail or head down the Canyon Trail.
