This is an incredibly busy hiking/horseback riding trail - please use caution and courtesy when riding.

Description

This trail is not one of the more commonly ridden bike rides in the area, but if you're looking for something different, it's not a bad ride. The scenery is excellent, Titus Lake is a nice spot to chill for a few minutes, and much of the singletrack is quite fun, although it's geared more towards hikers than bikers.

Park just south of the Galena Pass summit on the north side of the road. This very popular hiking and horse riding trail starts with a very steep climb. Be VERY wary of hikers coming to and from Titus Lake.

On the first section of trail there are quite a few hike a bike sections. Obviously oriented towards hikers, this part of the trail is very steep, both up and down. Be very courteous when riding here as this is a heavily trafficked trail.

After reaching Titus Lake and taking a quick break, head south (left) to continue on the trail. This section is heavily oriented towards horse traffic, so be very wary! This section of the trail is incredibly steep and features incredibly tight switchbacks. Depending on the time of year and the amount of use, the trail can also be dusty and loose.

Once you've completed this fast and loose descending, you'll pop out onto a doubletrack dirt road. Open up the throttle here, but be on the look out for riders on horseback. Eventually, Titus Lake Trail pops you out back onto Hwy. 75. You also have the option to take the Harriman Trail back to Ketchum if you're up for a challenge!
