Overview

This course is actually 7.5+ miles, GPS cannot handle all the switchbacks and tree cover. This is the race course used for the Fat Tire Frenzy Race every June. Most of the trails used are intermediate, requiring caution for beginner riders. There are a few difficult areas but overall it is intermediate. Very fast course with short steep climbs and many switch backs throughout with some rocks and roots and small log overs.

Need to Know

The Slickrock Trail has a 90' rock that you ride across with a small creek crossing at it's end...cross to the left for easiest crossing. Water and bathrooms at the main park near Trailhead 1.

Description

Start at the large pavilion on the grass and ride adjacent to the paved path and take right up by disc golf hole #1 and bear left onto paved path and follow to trailhead 1. Enter on the Deer Trail, take Deer Trail to left onto Piney Ridge. Stay on Piney Ridge until you reach the paved road. Take a left on the road and stay on until you bear right and enter Beaver Dam trail on your left, take until you bear left onto the Pond Loop.

After you cross long bridge stay on Pond Loop by bearing right at end of bridge, after you go across second bridge take left back onto Beaver Dam trail. Stay on Beaver Dam until it comes back to the paved road and go straight across road. Once you cross you are now on Turkey Hill which you stay on until you enter Sleepy Hollow. Take Sleepy Hollow until it empties onto the Blue Bird Path (bear left). Stay on BB path until you cross bridge and then bear left onto The Ledge trail and follow to next intersection and go right on Slick Rock trail.

Take Slickrock until it merges right onto White Rock trail and follow it until you come to 2 side by side bridges, take the left bridge(shorter one) still on White Rock and take until you bear left back onto Slick Rock trail. Take Slickrock to a left on Hill N Dell to merge left on Raceway back to The Blue Bird path. Take the left onto BB path and follow to Creekside Trail, go left and then another immediate left onto Fat Albert and STAY on Fat Albert all the way to the end which brings you to the Ridge Loop, go left here.

Take the Ridge Loop until it merges with Creekside trail and take Creekside for approx. .25 mile and bear left (disc golf hole #8) and cross the creek to go up the bank and enter Lower Deer trail on your right. Lower Deer trail climbs up to the main park area, at the top bear left onto the grass and take grass around to the large pavilion.
