Description

This is an advanced trail typically ridden northbound. Beginning at the Expert sign just off the Black Bear connection to Laurel Summit Road, the trail flows along a generally level route with several optional boulders/logs/roots along the sides. It includes one required boulder obstacle with two lines that arent visible until you are on top of the first rock. The easier route is to the left over logs that fill the gap between boulders, while a skinny, on the right, provides the more difficult route connecting the boulders.

One rock garden follows before reaching the Rocky Gap intersection where the trail becomes nearly continuous rocks to Locust Camp Road. An unsigned intersection to the right along this last segment is an extension of Beam Run Trail.
