Overview
This is an awesome singletrack trail. Most agree that it's a trail you shouldn't miss if you're in the area. It's is a cherry stem design that leaves from the west end of the parking area.
It should generally be ridden clockwise for the best flow and the most fun on the descents. You'll have one short steep climb to deal with, but it will flow very well otherwise.
Description
Parking lot is located 12.2 miles west of Vernal, UT, halfway past MM 129. There is a dirt road on the north side of the road where it will take you to a small dirt parking lot. Last time I went there was a wheel nailed to the fence just before the parking lot.
The trailhead for Corkscrew takes off west of the parking lot and after crossing the dirt road it runs perpendicular to the highway and next to the fence line. There is one point along the fence line that the trail has a fork but you need to keep left along the fence line. The right fork is the trail coming back after the loop. After this the trail is very easy to follow.
The trail is mostly sweet singletrack the whole way. It's not too technically challenging, but has enough ups and downs and fast flowy descents to keep most riders engaged!
