Description

The AZ Trail north from Aspen Corner in the San Francisco Peaks offers some of the finest high-country riding in AZ. This easy stretch of trail rolls across high meadows with knock-out views, through towering groves of aspen, and is loomed over by the ever-present hulk of Humphreys Peak. The riding is on 100% smooth singletrack, and although there are some ups-and-downs, it's never steep. From start to finish, this stretch of the AZ Trail is just incredibly beautiful.

Getting on the AZ Trail from Aspen Corner requires a short jaunt down a steep connector trail (which is more difficult to ride than anything on this stretch of the AZ Trail proper).

Andy and I went to fire road 418 then turned around and came back. The ride there was quicker due to the descent. A round and relatively easy ride. 17mi
