This road starts off the Rifle Range Road. Head around the gate and begin climbing up the dirt road to reach the ridge.

The climb up is approximately 1.4 miles at an average grade of 6.5%. Middle Ridge Road is the main access to numerous singletrack trails on top, including Middle Ridge Trial and others that drop back down to the valley floor, such as Mossy Rock, Pole Cat, Ballard, Teaberry Rock, Blackbear, and Johnson Hollow.

This trail segment ends at the beginning of Middle Ridge Trail, but Middle Ridge Road can be ridden all the way to the rear of the forest.
