“Easy riding through pine forest with many possible connections.”
— Almonzo Wilder
This segment of the Arizona Trail forms part of many good loops at the upper end of the Fort Valley Trail system and Schultz Pass area. It's generally smooth and easy riding, with modest ups and downs. The trail is well signed, with the only potential navigation confusion being whether to follow the "Equestrian Bypass" or "Urban Route" as you head up the trail. To get to Schultz Pass, you'll want to follow the horses, while the urban route will connect you to the lower end of the Schultz Creek trail.
