Features Technical

Description

This trail was once a technical staple of the Signal Peak Challenge race loop. The only recommended way of attempting to ride this trail is by accessing the upper end near the top of Signal Peak Road. Follow the singletrack generally down until it meets up with the Continental Divide Trail near the saddle trailhead.

The trail is a challenge on a good day and following the Trout fire in 2025, it has fallen into disrepair and is in need of significant rehabilitation. The upper part is mostly rideable but accented by deadfall. The middle part is overgrown with brush and Locust thorn bushes. The lower part near the CDT is the most polished as it is closets to the ongoing trail rehabilitation work that has been going on throughout 2026.
