Overview

Great views along the many creek side trails. Lots of log crossings. Several tricky tight areas along with some more open flowing trails. Great workout for the amount of elevation and distance. Rides all of the trails in both directions. There is a figure-8 done on trail C that will keep you from having to turn bike around.

Description

** Note: You'll encounter many intersections along the way. Stay on the more narrow singletrack and you'll be on the right trail. Signs will be coming when the city gets budget.

Head North through gap in fence and veer left on mowed path to the trailhead. After you cross the bricked culvert bridge, turn left on trail A. At the gravel road, turn right and go to fenced in utilities building and turn left. Stay on the trail and take the 2nd right. There will be a large tree at this intersection. Go again until the second right. You'll exit across from fenced in dog park. Follow along the fence between woods and fence and angle to the right on the narrow singletrack. Stay on this until it T's and turn left. You'll go about 25 feet and exit the woods. Stay to the right and re-enter the woods. Go to the T and turn right and you'll be back at the trailhead.

Turn right onto trail B. In around 20 feet you can turn left or go straight. Go straight. There will be several intersecting trails that are all more open. Stay on the narrow singletrack. When you come to a T with the wider trail, turn right and cross bridge. Right after crossing, turn right back on narrow trail. Right after passing the monkey bars, trail will follow the wider existing trail for around 200 feet. When you reach the next intersection, go across and continue on the narrow trail. Once again you'll pass many wider trails. Stay on the narrow path until you come back to start of loop. Turn right and exit to trailhead.

At trailhead go right for around 30 feet and take a left. When you get to gravel road, go left, cross the culvert and then turn right up the mowed yard area towards the fence. You'll see entrance into woods on the right in 40 feet. Right after bridge, turn left. You'll stay on this trail for a little over a mile.

It's easy to miss, but you'll ride next to a dried up creek bed and there is an option to keep going straight or turn left and cross the creek bed. Take the left and right after crossing you can go right or straight and do a loop. For this route, we'll be riding it clockwise, so go straight. After completing this loop, cross back over the creek bed and go straight. We'll be riding in the reverse direction now. Once you get back to bridge, keep going straight to go around the loop CCW. When you get to the dried up creekbed again, cross it right and then go right again to do the loop in the CCW direction. Upon completing this loop, cross the creek bed and turn left. We'll be riding reverse of what you just did to finish the loop. When you get to the bridge, turn left and cross it.

Upon exiting the woods, turn left, turn left again on gravel road and turn right after crossing culvert. When you get to mowed trail, turn right to go back to trailhead.
