Overlook is the first, and most difficult trail, in the County Line loop. It is narrow with a couple of tricky rock steps to navigate up or down and some substantial roots thrown in for good measure. About 2 miles into the trail, you'll reach a four way intersection. Straight or right will take you to an overlook of the Island Lake area, which features a dozen or so other small lakes. Beyond that you can see most of Delta and Montrose Counties and perhaps the San Juan Mountains on a clear day. Beware the most tricky bits are along the small loop out and back to the overlook. Even if you have to walk, it's well worth the diversion.
