This trail is a not obvious continuation of the aspen tunnel trail. I think it was created as a fire trail and is mostly used by cattle and ranchers. It is much harder to find and follow than the aspen tunnel trail as there are more open meadows where the trail becomes ambiguous but once you know what direction your going it is easy to find the trail in the sections you need it.

At the end of the aspen tunnel trail you'll find yourself in a large meadow next to a giant uprooted tree. Turn left and head uphill trending towards a stand of aspens. Once near these aspens you'll see a doubletrack trail which will take you through the trees. Follow this until it takes you into the next open section then turn left and head straight uphill.

Continue uphill in the open on a ridge with a steep hill dropping off to your right. There is a faint trail here before the grasses grow tall in the spring. This hill is sustained with scattered loose rock and soft dirt mounds and will likely require some hiking unless you're legs and your will are strong. There are fewer loose rocks on the left side of the hill so heading that directions and throwing in a few switchbacks is your best bet for staying on your bike.

The hill becomes less steep and a trail becomes more apparent through some downed dead trees. Follow this trail past some massive standing dead burned trees.

The trail will take an abrupt downhill to a small saddle before quickly heading up again through a stand of aspens. This singletrack trail is very loose and rocky but this is short lived.

You'll then continue uphill through another large clearing. The singletrack trail will head toward some small aspens. The trees have overgrown this section and it is not rideable. The best way up is to turn left and trend uphill. Once again the ground is much less rocky toward the left side of the clearing. Summit this hill past the bleached cattle bones and you'll pick up the doubletrack trail again just to the left of the trees.

Enjoy a fun open downhill through a meadow before the trail heads back into the trees. Shortly after the trail re-enters the trees a doubletrack forks off to the right. This trail goes somewhere, but not to model T park… explore it if you're feeling adventurous.

The doubletrack will narrow to singletrack shortly before you enter the southwestern edge of model T park.
