Need to Know

Restroom, water fountain, and bike tool station at the West Branch Parking Lot

Description

This route starts at Sheldon road and will chain the outbound half of each loop until you get to the West Branch Parking Lot, riding a quick loop of Beach, and then riding the return halves of each loop. Most loops meet up by butting up against a two track across from another loop and you continue onto the next loop by directly crossing the two track. Once you understand that it makes navigating and linking them up much easier. Other than a small section of The Pines there is no two track so if you are on one you probably made a wrong turn.

Outbound The Pines: This section is pretty chill and relatively flat. There is an optional jump line, wooden features, and a rock garden. Go straight across the first two track crossing. Stay right but cross the second to track crossing to start on the outbound half of Back Nine. This route shows the Pines Jump Line Bypass, The jump line is considered Black Diamond.

Outbound Back Nine: This section starts with an optional jump line. Mostly a climb with a few optional rock features along the side heading to the two track crossing for Roller Coaster. This route shows the Back Nine Jump Line Bypass. The jump line is considered Black Diamond.

Outbound Roller Coaster: A pretty short section. Mostly continuing the climb up to Bee-Line.

Outbound Bee-Line: This is where the fun begins. Sections of fast flowing downhills with big banked turns. Some optional skinnies along the side of the trail. This trail connects into Beach and Grom Pump Track at the West Branch Parking lot where you can use the restroom, water fountain, or bike stand.

Beach: This is a fun beginner friendly loop with some optional wooden and rock features.

Return Bee-Line: From the West Branch Parking lot take the Beach climb again but go right at the Beach Bee-Line fork. This section is mostly climbing up to the Roller Coaster intersection with a few wood skinnies and rock features along the way.

Return Roller Coaster: Another highlight of the park. This section of Roller Coaster starts with the climb up to Mt Shelden. From there enjoy some of the more advanced technical features in the park, skinnier skinnies and steep rock rolls, all optional. The jump line here is in one of the fastest rolling sections of the park with big hip jumps along the sides so no jumps are required.

Another option is to take the Short Cut from the top of Mt Shelden, which features a section of the original Roller Coaster trail and cuts out the bulk of this loop, avoiding many steeper climbs and technical features.

Return Back Nine: A favorite section to many, after crossing the intersection from Roller Coaster fly into Back Nine for a fast flowing descent with big banked turns and rollers that can be jumped as doubles.

Return The Pines: A quick chill section with a few optional features. This takes you back to the start.
