Overview
Dirty Harry - also known as "Scary Harry" - is a technical downhill trail that takes the steep terrain to the bikers' right of Jackson Face. The trail is mostly primitive technical singletrack that requires riders to dodge roots and rocks and navigate tight turns. The trail descends nearly 1,000 vertical feet of chunk in less than a mile - emphasizing the rating of "experts only".
Need to Know
Body armor recommended for this one.
Description
From the top of the Sweetwater Gondola, start on
Deepest Darkest and soon after, drop into Dirty Hairy.
The trail begins with some small gap jumps, then down a wooden ramp and into the chunk. The first bit is the most technical, then the trail begins to ease with less chunk, but still with many sections to be mindful of.
Near the end of the trail, a wooden feature with a mandatory drop (alternative to the right) lands you at the top of Teewinot lift, marking the end of the steep riding. But the rowdiness is not finished yet...
Below the Teewinot lift, hit a gap jump over the road and into a few more minor hits before dropping in on a steep wooden feature into some chunk. The trail ends into
True Grit (black) or you could bail onto
Lucky Charm (green) just before.
