Need to Know
Curlew Connection Trail #45 officially opened to the public on November 25, 2024. As we are in the wet season, we strongly recommend waiting for the trail to dry before riding. The Boise foothills contain a high amount of clay, which can cause significant trail damage when wet. Respect the trail and enjoy it in prime conditions!
Description
Curlew Connection Trail #45 is Boise's newest addition to the foothills trail network, seamlessly linking
Freestone Ridge to Watchman and 3 Bears. This 2.5-mile path was designed with connectivity in mind, offering riders, hikers, and runners a smooth and approachable route through the heart of the foothills. As a connector trail, it's not overly technical, making it a great choice for those looking to explore new loops or add variety to their existing routes.
What sets Curlew Connection apart are the incredible views that unfold along the trail. Perched high on the ridgeline, it offers sweeping panoramas of Boise's rolling foothills and the valley below. Whether you're pausing to take in the scenery or cruising through on your way to a favorite descent, the trail provides a sense of openness and connection to the landscape that elevates any outdoor adventure.
