Need to Know

The trailhead is at the end of North Willow Creek Road where there is a large parking area for horse trailers and a restroom. Trailhead is very close to the small town of Pony.

Description

Park trail mostly travels through large open meadows, which means great views. It also means that the trail is very popular with horse riders, and there is lots of trail erosion because of it, especially since it is so sandy. If you are descending, it is easier to deal with the ruts and channels, but for ascending they can sometimes be so deep that your pedals hit the sides. It's only really the steepest sections that are like this, and maybe you would have pushed your bike up anyway?! Fortunately the gradient is constantly changing and you are never too far away from a short rest.

Park Trail connects to Abro Lake #333 and Trail #303. A loop can be made with Trail #303, North and South Willow Roads and connected via the town of Pony. Using Abro Lake Trail, there are a couple of loops that can be done with the North Willow Creek Trail.
