Overview

This loop combines forest roads with the Dunckley Pass ski trail system. Although not purpose bult, there is still lots of fun to be had descending the Long Run and Spronks Creek trails. Especially nice during the fall aspen color.

Need to Know

Horses sometimes use this trail system as well, remember to yield properly.

Description

Begin by taking the main road up from the trailhead. Take a left turn on FSR 940 towards Chapman Campground. After 4.5 miles the Long Run will begin on your left. This quick descent will drop you onto Spronks Creek. From here turn left and climb up the hill, there is a bench/overlook just off the trail that makes a good rest spot. Continue to descend down Spronks Creek until you reach the junction with Aspen Flats. Turn left to return to the trailhead.
