Overview

Missionary Ridge doubletrack/singletrack mix climb to Red Creek Trail singletrack descent. A fun mid country ride right outside of Durango.

Description

Missionary Ridge is arguably the best climb trail to get to Red Creek Trail. The climb starts out as a fire road climb before soon becoming Missionary Ridge trail and singletrack for the remainder of it. The views are phenomenal and help make up for the ups and downs and decent grade. Once you get to the Red Creek drop in, the real fun begins! It is generally a more raw trail. The top portion is pretty loose dirt and steeper/tight trail. After the first initial bit, the grade lessens out but the quantity of rocks increases and so does the fun with it. Red Creek is heavily trafficked by cattle so always be aware of the possibly of bumping into cattle. Great trail for fall time colors as well!

At the top, about to shred the gnar. Big bikes and full faces not required but are certainly handy and fun on this trail. Hit it in the spring before the leaves pop out and make the corners blind.
