Overview

This loop offers a little bit of everything for the remote desert rider—canyons, downhills/uphills, technical downhill, arroyos, some areas with some fun flow, ramps, and some drops. Fun remote trail with views.

Need to Know

Park on the arroyo entrance of in the arroyo if you have 4x4. No restrooms nearby. Pack accordingly during the summer heat.

Description

Exit 19 into the arroyo. You can park near the entrance of the arroyo or if you have 4x4 you can drive in the arroyo to the trailhead.

The route starts with a short climb into a color-changing landscape, biking into a rock bed arroyo and heading up to the powerlines. Once at the powerlines, you'll descend (optional), hitting some small rock jumps. You'll then cross a major arroyo to get to the next section of the trail.

Inclines and declines from here on out, some fast downhill sections. You'll reach a scenic viewpoint of the mountains. More downhill and uphills. You'll reconnect into the loop and back up to the power lines. You'll come down the same trail and try out the 3 rock ramps if you want. Same down trail will spit you out to the trailhead. Overall, trail is approximately 12 miles, so plan accordingly. Fun e-bike trail as well!
