Bike repair stand at the play ground. Heavily used by families and hikers with dogs. Limited street parking at the play ground (intersection of Cornwallis and Jefferson St SE). Cars regularly exceed the speed limit on Yellow Mountain - use caution crossing.

From the southern end of Big Sunny take a left onto Robin Hood Rd then left onto Nottingham Rd SE. Cross over Yellow Mountain Rd to access the beginning of Fern Park. Cross through the play ground then left to a mostly mellow climb that takes you through the "ferns" section of the trail. After the left turn there are several fun root sections before the end. Cross back over Yellow Mountain to access Ridgeline or Woodthrush trails. Great in the opposite direction as well. Watch out for and yield to hikers!
