Need to Know

A fairly direct car shuttle route between the trailheads. Outhouse at the Bronco Trailhead. Free parking.

Description

The trail is a mixture of wide singletrack and doubletrack.

From north to south, the trail leaves the Bronco trailhead from the east side of Seven Springs Road. The route alternates up and down for the first 3-4 miles following along a large power line. The trail then leaves the powerline and climbs steadily to the top of a ridgeline near Kentuck Mtn. The views from here are nice. The trail then descends steeply down off the ridgeline with sharp, steep switchbacks. The trail crosses a couple of washes on its way down to the low point of the route at Camp Creek wash. From here, the route climbs up back to the powerline and then heads south along the powerline until reaching the trailhead at Barlett Dam Road.

The difficulty in the trail is not so much in technical challenges, but in steepness and total elevation change.
