Description

Technically, the Telegraph Connector does connect the Durango Mesa trail system with the Horse Gulch Trail system, but this legit trail deserves a better name. It is a pleasant descent across the hillside with great views of the La Plata mountains in the far distance. Closer in, you can watch downhill bikers launching off the jumps on the twin downhill trails in the valley below. You'll pass through patches of scrub oak, steep cindery ravines, and next to enormous boulders that must have rolled down from Pautsky Point. End at a busy, well-signed trail junction with Meadow Loop and Telegraph.

Note: E-bikes are allowed on this trail as long as you use the trail as an out-and-back starting from the southern end. E-bikes are not allowed on the Meadow Loop or Horse Gulch trails.
