This is a backcountry trail with no cell service! Be prepared with water, tools, and supplies. Trail closed when wet. 4x4/high clearance vehicle required to shuttle.

Description

Upper Ella begins at one of the last remaining BLM fire lookouts at the top of Ella Mountain. After dropping some rowdy doubletrack for a few minutes, veer right and enjoy the singletrack the rest of the way. This trail features some mid-to advanced tech moves, exposed slickrock, giant ponderosa pines, and crazy scenery. Not to be missed.
