Need to Know

Overley Worman Park Mountain Bike Trail is a newer trail and the first mountain bike trail in Zionsville. You can access from the north using the Big 4 Rail Trail or the south by parking in new Big 4 Trailhead off of Zionsville road. After your ride head to the village for a coffee, beer or food at one of the many restaurant patios in town.

Description

Suggest you start with the fun, flowy jump line that drops in from the Big 4 Rail Trail. At the bottom it forks. If you stay to the right you can ride up the paved trail and connect to the Big 4 Trail to make a loop. Or you can stay to the left and connect to the interior trails. There is a fun drop if you stay to the left, too. The downhill is rideable without jumping so don't be intimidated. If you're not up for it, you can take the paved trail into the park.

The interior trail marked on this map is a blue/black rating. There are some quick, steep climbs with some loose rock. The area was previously a clean fill so the trails dry quickly but the terrain is a little rough.

Staying left on the downhill you'll roll up to the paved trail and go left towards the concrete circle. Go left out of the concrete circle on to the paved path for about 10 feet or so. Keep an eye out for the entrance to the interior trail on the right. You may see two options. Take the first one because the second one is an exit. It's not well marked yet.
As you enter the trail you'll stay to the right. The trail is a loop so be aware of oncoming riders to the left when you merge.

The trail is about a mile long with steep climbs, downhill payoffs and some technical features sprinkled in. There are culvert crossings that don't have a safe pass option so be careful with these sections. The trail does cross over the paved path a couple of times so look for people on the path at these cross sections. Towards the end of the loop there is a concrete skinny to test your balance. Make sure to carry enough speed because it's a little uphill.

It's a short challenging trail that will test your endurance. There is a green trail that goes along Eagle Creek for a cool down. There is a lot of potential with this trail as it continues to get built out. Enjoy.
