Description

Denton's first mountain bike trail - Jeff LaQuey Memorial Trail is part of Denton Parks & Recreation located on Hartlee Field Road. Parking is available with restroom access and covered picnic areas.

From the parking lot, look for the trail sign just left of the restrooms. It will go north for a short bit behind the restrooms, then crossover Hartlee Field Road and through the entry gate.

Once through the black entry gate, you're greeted with trail map signage, veer to the right to enter as the course is counter-clockwise for a total of 5.3 miles. This is a hard-packed, singletrack dirt trail with some gravel and decomposed granite sections. It's an easy trail for beginners and a good way for intermediate and expert riders to get in their base miles on a scenic trail.

Trail markings are available along the trail. A new section has been added called the Center Loop which is .82 miles. Look for its signage with a left turn.
