Description

This trail is two-track from start to finish but is infrequently travelled by Jeeps and ATVs.

Typically ridden from east to west, the two-track is a little overgrown and has loose rocks on most climbs, but it is suitable for intermediate riders. Great views of the Rio Grande Valley and Magdalena Mountains from the summit.

The descent from the summit is steep and loose. Watch for pinch flats or sidewall tears due to sharp rocks.

The descent from the summit is fun, fast and loose. Watch for the sharp transition at the bottom as the trail is washed out.

Rocky climbs keep the trail interesting.

Central section showing old road and Rio Grande valley in background. This section of the Chupadera Crossing is non-technical but scenic and a good workout.
