Need to Know

Recommended departure from Piazza Casaburi, in the center of Cervaro, which offers parking, cafés and services. Going up in the direction of Viticuso on the paved road for about six kilometers you can reach the entrance to the Vallevecchia uphill. From here a difficult climb of about three kilometers on a dirt road will take you to the top. Breathe, eat something and enjoy the view because now it's just fun. The arrival is near the Piazza Casaburi.

Description

Climbing it is not easy, but almost nine kilometers of descent will pay the full price. It reaches up to 1,100 meters above sea level with a breathtaking view. You can observe the abbey of Montecassino from above and if the day is good you can see the Tyrrhenian Sea. The trail has practically any type of terrain, rocks, forest, gravel and with a little caution anyone can ride it.
