Description

Redfern Trail is steep - very steep in places - especially at the bottom where it joins Hunting Hollow Road - 38% grade, which I'd suggest is almost impossible to ride up, hence listing this trail in the downhill direction shown.

Initially I rode this in the opposite (uphill) direction, and pushed up that first 100yds - and once you reach the first saddle (and some welcome shady trees) the elevation eases off slightly, but it is still a grind all the way to the top where it intersects with Phegley Ridge Rd, where you can connect with the main perimeter Wagon Road which skirts the southern and eastern side of the park.

Downhill make sure you've got good brakes, as there are only a few spots where it levels off before descending steeply again - a real white-knuckle ride!
