Features Drops/Jumps · Pump Track

Family Friendly There is a kid friendly pump track (clay based), the Pompe Park section is flowy and fun and the rest of the trail is pancake flat (subject to flooding as a result during heavy rain events).

Overview

Pump track, flow trail, and creekside singletrack, all accessed off the paved Tucker Creek Trail (Kinley Trail).

Need to Know

Do not ride the trails if you are leaving tire tracks (including the pump track).

Description

Park at the Gatlin Park Trailhead or the Dave Ward Walmart and access the Tucker Creek paved trail. At Gatlin Park, there is a pump track to play on, then follow the paved trail and take the singletrack trails that cut off to the right side off the paved trail.

Near the Prince Street Tunnel (bridge has artwork), you can cross over to the Pompe Park Flow Trail that is about one mile long with two drops and a few beginner jumps that can be rolled over. This has a crushed gravel surface and is all weather. Very flowy.

You can then continue SW on the Tucker Creek Trail and take the Tucker Creek Singletrack just after Salem intersection where it goes to the right. Then next mile and a half have a few beginner stream crossings and just a few roots as you meander along the greenway.

You intersect the greenway and continue to Hogan Rd where you cross and ride the singletrack called Bunny Slope behind the Walmart. Approximately one mile in length and in a figure-eight shape. Has a bridge crossing and is ADA compliant. This trail is subject to flooding during wet months.
