Description
The first miles of the 100-mile concept plan produced by IMBA Trail Solutions for Katahdin Area Trails and Millinocket. Long Acre will eventually connect to the water tower and Alpine Avenue.
Currently, as of 2021 construction, it provides a parallel route to the old ATV trail and parking areas near the ballfields and Stearns HS.
Long Acre is a flowy, mountain bike-optimized singletrack. Great for all bikes and beginners, but with side hits and optional lines for intermediate or advanced riders.
Moderately steep. Uneven terrain with small rocks or roots.
Sizable rocks & roots. Steep sections.
Steep. Some technical terrain and limited alternate lines.
Very steep. Technical terrain with no alternate lines.
