Need to Know

Be alert for Moose and Bears. Accessing the trail from the East requires crossing private land.

Description

Trail begins at the junction with Blacktail Canyon (FS #179). Trail starts out doubletrack with a steep descent. There are a dozen or so jumps to get air if you can stick the landing. Beware of the ruts.

After the trail crosses the creek the first time, follow the singletrack fork following the creek (splits from FS 256). The rest of the way down along the creek is a marvelous singletrack with the occasional obstacle/hill. Beautiful scenery and wildlife.

The trail crosses the creek three more times, one crossing is wide enough you can ride it but your feet will get wet. Recommend riding in mid-summer into fall.
