Need to Know
This is a private trail system. Please have respect for the trails, the land and the rules so it continues to be open to everyone.
Description
This trail is a significant addition to the Coyote Trail system. It makes a fun six-mile loop that can be accessed from the Cutthroat Trailhead. So far the Cutthroat Trailhead and access trail have not been added to MTB Project so I will have to add that later.
It's off Hwy 32 just past the big road cut above Jordanelle Dam. Looney Tunes also cuts off a couple miles and 250 vertical feet of climbing if you are doing the full Coyote Trail Loop.
The back side of Coyote is know for its aspen, oak and maple forest riding and Looney Tunes won't disappoint. It spends most of its 1.8 miles in the forest. You can stop for lunch in a grove of old mountain mahogany trees overlooking the Heber Valley. It also has great views of Deer Creek and Jordanelle Reservoirs.
This trail is too flat for the serious downhill crowd being designed for two-way traffic but it's a fun and playful downhill ride with plenty of banked corners and a flow trail feel but it's not a bad climb either.
