Description

White Cliffs Wagon Wheels Trails has deep ruts on either side of this section of trail. The wagon wheel tracks in the sandstone from the 1870s when the wagons used to bring ore down from the Stockton Hill Mines.

Photos

Wagon tracks from the late 1800s have been cut deep into the sandstone. You can slso see depressions along both sides, which were used for stubbing posts and ropes to help get the heavy wagons up and down the grade.
