Overview

Doubletrack and unmaintained gravel road for nine miles. Three miles return on the road you likely drove in on.

Need to Know

Road in can be accessed by passenger car, but it will be a rough drive with deep potholes to navigate around. Restroom onsite, though infrequently maintained.

Description

A roughly 2-4 hour ride through the scablands of Eastern Washington on doubletrack. Short detours will take you to Wall, Turtle, or Perch Lake. Great views of the area around every corner and at every hill crest.

Rideable 9-10 months of the year. Recent rains or melting snow make for a very muddy trail though. Tall grass and tumble weeds can overhang the trail. You'll need to stop and open/close around 10 gates on this ride.

History & Background

Former sheep ranch.
