After reaching the old hydroelectric plant that powered the town of Mackay through the early 20th century, the trail makes a fork. Keep right and cross the creek. From here, it's just a short way to the waterfall at the very end.
The waterfall itself is spectacular. Known to the locals as "Hole in the Rock," the waterfall is a high flow spring that cascades directly out of the rock face as if Moses had struck it.
