Description
This loop starts with a moderate climb, and then levels off at the top of a wide plateau. You can take the loop in any direction. I go counter clockwise.
The trail meanders around sections of prairie and stands of poplar, always twisting this way and that, rarely straight. There are a lot of nice views from the top, particularly along the lip of the hill along the NW side of the loop.
The Sagamore Unit is generally kept open even when other units in Cuyuna are closed. So if you're itching to ride during or after wet weather events, these trails are a good alternative.
