Need to Know

The trail ends at a gate. Resist the temptation to invade the ranger's residence and plan to do an out-and-back trip.

Description

This trail skirts the Snake River, hopping islands all the way to an old ferry building. You'll see the remains of old lambing sheds and various nesting boxes. Be sure to stop off at Rocky Point for a view.

This trail is the only access to Split Rock Trail and Columbine Trail.
